RAGGING IN DELHI COLLEGES
Supreme Court’s orders and subsequent precautionary measures by college-authorities and police in

by and large prevented ragging of fresher by senior-students in colleges of

. However despite ban on TV cameras in college-campuses, some TV news-channels managed to show scenes of ragging like making students climb on trees with faces covered with their own shirts. Such an act could definitely be dangerous for ragged students. Apex Court, Delhi police and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) should summon video-tapes of scenes telecast on 16.07.2007, and trace the guilty students to punish them in an exemplary manner for playing with lives of fresher despite Apex Court’s strict warning.
